What affects the cost of a freight quote?
Every freight quote is built around your shipment, so no two prices are the same. These are the main things we look at.
Route
The collection and delivery postcodes and countries decide the distance, the ferry or tunnel crossing and any customs steps.
Timing
Tell us when your goods are ready and when they need to arrive, so we can match the right service.
Weight and dimensions
Freight is priced on the space it takes up as well as its weight. A standard UK pallet is 120 x 100 cm and a Euro pallet is 120 x 80 cm.
Access
If there is no forklift at collection or delivery, we can arrange a tail-lift vehicle.
Service
Groupage shares a vehicle and keeps costs down. Part and full loads suit larger consignments. Express dedicated vehicles are the fastest option.
Customs
Shipments between the UK and Europe need export and import declarations, which we can include in your quote.
